Rifle-Carrying Teen's Trial Begins Today

Back in April, I posted a story about a Sean Combs, a teenager of 18 years of age, arrested for legally carrying his shoulder slung M1 Garand into town.

When confronted by police regarding the rifle, he was asked to produce identification to prove he was indeed at least 18 years old, the minimum age to legally open carry a rifle.

Sean refused as there is no legal requirement to show identification.

So he was arrested.

His trial began today.

The charges:
  • brandishing a firearm
  • disturbing the peace
  • obstructing an officer
