TL: You Have Been Drafted

YOU HAVE BEEN

Another excellent post by TL Davis.
I have no cards, or orders to offer you, but you cannot avoid the fact that if you are reading this blog, you have been drafted into a war you don't necessarily understand or even agree with. It is not your choice and like all drafts, it is instituted by the government, the government of years past.

Patrick Henry said, at end of a long and wonderful address: Give me liberty, or give me death.

The war is against us, by the usurpers and pretenders in the government. We did not choose this future, they did. We did not force our hands, they did. From the GOP, who do not understand their role in the resistance to the active Marxists in the DHS and TSA, we are under attack.

The single most important fight of our republic is happening now. The enemy has taken control of the government by support of those seeking favor in the new system. Their whole lives are dependent upon the success of the new regime. All benefits flow from the government in one way or another, either through actual gifts or a waiver from the worst the government will enact.

Zero Hedge: Feinstein's Gun Control Bill Will Trigger The Next American Revolution

Verbatim from Zero Hedge:

All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party - Mao Tse Tung

After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn't do it. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live in a society where the only people allowed guns are the police and the military - William Burroughs

Revolution?  Yes, it all sounds rather “extreme”, but the cold hard reality of our era is not going to comfort us with diplomacies and niceties, so honestly, why should I have to sugar coat anything?  We live in extreme times and there is no longer room for prancing around the ultimate consequences of that which is taking place in America today.  This country is increasingly sliding towards the edge of internal conflict.  The Liberty Movement and true Constitutionalists see it, subsections of Republicans and Democrats see it, and most of all, the federal government sees it.  In fact, they may even be counting on it.

Over the past two years alone, multiple draconian policies have been enacted through executive order by the Obama Administration which build upon the civil liberty crushing actions of George W. Bush and press far beyond.  The Patriot Acts, the FISA domestic spy bill, the bailouts of corrupt international banks, attempts at CISPA and SOPA, actions like the NDAA authorizing the treatment of U.S. citizens as “enemy combatants” without rights to due process; all paint a picture so clear only a one-celled amoeba (or your average suburban yuppie) would not see it.  You and I, and everyone else for that matter, have been designated potential targets of the state.  Our rights have been made forfeit.

There is no ambiguous or muddled separation between the citizenry and the government anymore.  The separation is absolute.  It is undeniable.  It is vast.  It is only a matter of time and momentum, and eventually there will be unbridled oppression, dissent, and conflict.  All that is required is a trigger, and I believe that trigger has arrived…

Though made to appear “complex”, the gun control debate is actually an incredibly simple issue.  It all boils down to a couple of questions which gun grabbers rarely ask:  How does the 2nd Amendment affect the future?  That is to say, what was the original intent, and should we still value that intent as it applies to tomorrow?  And, what will really happen if it is forcibly removed?  Gun opponents act as though they are unaware of these questions, or maybe they don’t care.  However, it is vital to their safety and the safety of our culture in general that they do finally consider the bigger picture.

We’ve all heard the prefabricated gun control talking points before.  Some of them so old they predate us.  They are numerous and most of them incredibly thin.  The gist of the anti-gun position, though, could be boiled down to these three points...

Common Anti-Gun Arguments:

1) The 2nd Amendment is “outdated” and no longer relevant in today’s modern society.

2) We do not want to stop you from “defending yourself”, or interfere with the American tradition of hunting, but people do not need “military assault weapons” for either.

3) Your claimed freedom to own guns should not supersede my freedom to live without fear of guns.  We exist in a society, and our society requires us to give up certain freedoms so that it can function.

Again, in response to these arguments, I have to ask, what does the 2nd Amendment mean for the future?  What was its original intent?  Gun control advocates would like to ignore the fact that the Constitution specifically protects a broad application of gun ownership, but when they cannot deny the legality of it, they instead turn to more abstract and existential methods of attack.  They try to twist the original intent of the 2nd Amendment to further their goals.  To respond briefly to each of the above fallacies:

1) The right to self defense from ANY threat, whether it be an individual, or a criminal government, does not “outdate”.  It is a universal and eternal freedom.  It is a foundational pillar of natural law.  Even if the 2nd Amendment did not exist, I would still have the inborn right to arm and protect myself and those I love, and the best way to do that is to own firearms.  The men who drafted the Constitution were far more intelligent than any pithy gun grabber today, yet, these socialist errand boys seem to believe that they have “surpassed” the wisdom of the Founders.  The amount of ego required to fuel such an attitude boggles the mind…

Gun violence and violence in general will not end simply by banning firearms.  The very idea that any society can remove all weapons from their sight is naïve to begin with.  Criminals always find a way.  Murder, rape, and mayhem will continue until you confront the root problem, which is the human mind, and the human heart.  Only when these two things are balanced in all people will violence end.  Disarming good men and women has never made a society “safer”.  When the power of defense is removed from the people, someone, somewhere, will seek to abuse their weakness.  The most armed entity of the time invariably becomes the subjugator, and usually this is the government.  Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Mao’s China, Pol Pot’s Cambodia, etc, all contained disarmed populations.  The guns were gone, and still millions upon millions died.  Modern day Mexico is a perfect example of a disarmed population that is now living in terror because of criminal organizations (which, of course, still have guns).  Disarmament does NOT end gun violence, it only changes the dynamic of who uses that violence, and it makes innocent victims easier to attack.

2) Because the legal argument over the “interpretation” of the 2nd Amendment is essentially over, and the Supreme Court has ruled that gun rights do indeed apply to individuals, and not just collective bodies like the National Guard, gun grabbers are now reverting to the argument that we ARE allowed to defend ourselves with firearms, but the kinds of firearms we are able to use can still be limited.  The goal of this argument is to fool gun owners who only possess conventional firearms (hunting rifles) into believing that they will not be personally affected if they support a ban on military style weapons.  These wishy-washy hunting enthusiasts are often referred to as “Elmer Fudds” because of their gullibility.

All gun confiscation programs start by chipping away at the outer barriers of gun ownership.  Like termites slowly chewing away at the wooden skeleton of a home, anti-gun proponents start small and end by destroying the entire edifice.  Anyone who believes Feinstein’s legislation will begin and end with AR-15’s and AK-47’s is living in fantasy land.  That said, the 2nd Amendment was not established for hunting purposes.  Nowhere in the writings of the Founding Fathers do they mention “hunting” as their primary concern.  Instead, gun rights are protected in order to ensure that the citizenry remains dominant over any centralized government that turns to corruption.  We are supposed to police our own political leaders, and without military style arms, this becomes increasingly difficult.

Gun grabbers will argue that our government is not the enemy because it is derived through democratic elections.  They will say that we can change it anytime we like in the voting box.  I would point out that regardless of which party is placed in power through elections, nothing in terms of our direction as a country has been changed, and, that both parties support almost identical policies.  For instance, Obama has come out in favor of nearly identical policy initiatives to Bush, and I can almost guarantee that many Republicans will sign onto the gun control efforts of Democrats despite their supposed pro-gun rhetoric.  When the two party system becomes a one party system, voting becomes irrelevant.

Finally, they will admonish the idea of an armed citizenry keeping the government in check as a “fairy tale”.  They will claim that in the face of modern military might, constitutionalists would be crushed.  For what can an AK-47 do to an F-15?  Apparently, they have never heard of Afghanistan, which has used AK-47’s and 30 year old armaments to repel two technologically advanced armies; the Soviet Union and the U.S.  Of course, the Afghanis did not allow themselves to be disarmed…

3) Here is where we get into the nonsense of intellectual idiocy.  The only real skill which academics seem to have is jumbling piles of logical fallacies together to make a single argument that sounds “rational”, but, in fact, isn’t.  The third debate point is an extremely collectivist one, and collectivist arguments generally exploit the idea that individuals must sacrifice their personal freedoms in order for the group to function.

The truth is, the group does not matter.  The perceived collective concerns and fears of a mass of people are not relevant.  All that matters are the concerns of the singular man or woman, and whether or not those concerns are legitimate.  If a person “fears” guns and gun violence, then that is their private problem, not the problem of our entire society.  We as gun owners should not have to relinquish our rights because others are afraid of what MIGHT happen to them.  We should demand that they control THEIR fear, instead of being allowed to control OUR guns.  Just because a portion of our country shares this individual fear does not make that fear any more credible, or any more our problem.

Do They Know What They Are In For...?

Feinstein’s campaign for gun control is not hers alone; it has been the overall establishment’s work in progress for decades.  I covered the broad based arguments of gun control advocates above because I wanted to illustrate the tangibility of gun ownership.  I want to show you where we stand as constitutionalists, and I can say confidently that our moral and intellectual footing is strong.  To be clear, when defenders of a particular idea are right in their position, they are much more likely to fight and die for that position, and they are much more likely to win.

In the beginning I asked what the 2nd Amendment means for the future of this country.  Not only if it continues, but if it disappears.  If I was a gun control proponent, I would weigh the aftereffects of my actions carefully, because the penalties will likely be dire…

I have heard it argued that Americans are passive.  We didn’t rise up against the last Assault Weapons Ban. We didn’t rise up against the Patriot Act.  We didn’t rise up against TSA molestation.  We didn’t rise up against warrantless wiretapping, the assassination of U.S. citizens, or even the NDAA.  The people who make this point, though, are not looking at the larger issue.  It is one thing for our government to pass legislation; the wider application of that legislation on our streets and at our doorsteps is another matter.

Feinstein’s bill is unprecedented in the history of this country, and requires widespread enforcement in every town and hamlet in order to be effective.  The way in which it is designed makes a violent response from the public inevitable.  It reaches far beyond the Assault Weapons Ban of the 1990’s, calling for the creation of a massive database of almost all gun owners in the United States.  This database will require citizens to submit their EXISTING firearms to cataloging, and the owners to be filed and fingerprinted like criminals.

The bill will ban the outright the sale, manufacture, and transfer of at least 120 models of firearms (which have not yet been named).  It will ban the manufacture and sale of most if not all semi-automatic rifles and the bill specifically targets handguns as well.  Large capacity mags and mag fed weapons will essentially disappear from gun stores.  Though, those guns designated as “hunting rifles” will be exempt (for now).

Feinstein has also openly agreed with NY Governor Andrew Cuomo that government buy back programs (forced selling of firearms at a reduced price) and even physical confiscations are on the table:

http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/guns/new-york-governor-andrew-cuomo-says-gun-confiscation-could-be-option

http://washingtonexaminer.com/sen.-feinstein-suggests-national-buyback-of-guns/article/2516648

To put this bluntly, there are approximately 50 million gun owners (according to official estimates) in the United States.  If only 2% of those gun owners refuse to submit to the Feinstein Database, and the feds attempt confiscation, they will have a massive revolution on their hands.

Many Americans, including myself, will not be strolling into the local Fusion Center to register our weapons.  Why?  Because gun registration reeks of fascism!  Some might call this “cliche”, but let’s just examine the guidelines of the Nazi Gun Registration Program of 1938:

- Classified guns for "sporting purposes"

- All citizens who wished to purchase firearms had to register with the Nazi officials and have a background check.

- Presumed German citizens were hostile and thereby exempted Nazis from the gun control law (meaning officials could have guns, citizens could not).

- Gave Nazis unrestricted power to decide what kinds of firearms could, or could not be owned by private persons.

- The types of ammunition that were legal were subject to control by bureaucrats.

- Juveniles under 18 years could not buy firearms and ammunition.

You see, we’ve witnessed the Feinstein gun bill before, many times through history.  We know how it ends, so, there is very little incentive for us to go along quietly.

The database itself is truly the crux of it all.  It basically begs to be defied.  When a government has become openly hostile to common people, destructive of their economy, and oppressive of their individual rights, it only follows that gun registration will lead to outright confiscation later down the road or imprisonment for the owner.  Many Americans are simply not going to fall into the same trap that past societies have fallen into.  The eventual refusal of millions of citizens to voluntarily register will lead to a definite federal response.

The Department Of Homeland Security has obviously taken this into account, at least partly, by stockpiling over 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the span of a year, most of which are used in weapons distributed by the government for domestic enforcement.  Their projected scenario, I believe, involves limited resistance from people like myself; “gun nuts” and “liberty freaks” who are on the “fringe” of the populous.  At least, that’s what the headlines will say.  In the end, who will care if a few “conspiracy theorists” take a bullet in the quest to end gun violence, right?  But then again…

What I see in America is a much harder stance against gun confiscation than at any time in recent memory, and far less compromising than in the 1990’s.  Gun grabbers are, in my view, walking into a hornets nest.  Most average firearms enthusiast may be less aware of the deeper problems at hand, but they know when they are about to be raped, and will react in kind.  We in the Liberty Movement are often accused of “radicalizing” people against government authority, but I have to say, if that is the case, then the Feds are doing a much better job than we ever could.

Simultaneously, the UN (which most gun owners despise) is helping matters along by using the recent Sandy Hook shooting as a springboard for a reintroduction of their failed international Small Arms Treaty:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/28/un-arms-treaty-nra_n_2373417.html

"European and other U.N. delegates who support the arms trade treaty told Reuters on condition of anonymity they hoped Newtown would boost support for the convention in the United States, where gun control is an explosive political issue."

"Newtown has opened the debate within the United States on weapons controls in ways that it has not been opened in the past," Abramson said, adding that "the conversation within the U.S. will give the (Obama) administration more leeway."

The UN has always claimed that their small arms treaty would NOT restrict private gun ownership in the U.S., and that it only deals with the international trade of illicit arms.  Yet, they try to use gun control actions in the face of Sandy Hook as a rationale for reopening negotiations?  They can't have it both ways.  Either they are trying to tie the treaty to domestic gun ownership in the U.S, or they aren't.  Will our government sign on to an international agreement to restrict private gun ownership on top of Feinstein's gun grab bill?
To put this in the most basic terms: registration and restriction equals revolution.  Count on it.  It is not a matter of what we "want", it is a matter of what is necessary.  Without a citizenry armed with weapons of military application, we lose our last deterrent to tyranny, and thus, we lose everything.  When backed into a corner, a victim has two options: he can lie down and die, or, he can fight regardless of the odds.  Sadly, this is where we are in America; fear, servitude, subservience, or civil war.

Let us hope our weapons are never needed --but do not forget what the common people knew when they demanded the Bill of Rights: An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws - Edward Abbey

You Can Keep Your Weapons - For a Price

$200 NFA Extortion Stamp

Well, the ever benevolent Dianne Feinstein will 'let' you keep your current rifles and handguns (yep, she's going after handguns too) under her 'new and improved AWB' by grandfathering them in...for a price.

There's this little part at the end of her AWB Legislation Summary:
Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:
  • Background check of owner and any transferee;
  • Type and serial number of the firearm;
  • Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
  • Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
  • Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration
In other words, pay up your $200 for that nice little blue extortion stamp, otherwise your weapon, if it falls under the banned list, is illegal and you are an instant criminal. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200, go straight to jail.

Dianne Feinstein, I have three words for you: Go pound sand!

TL Davis: So This Is The Game They Want To Play

Excerpt of TL Davis's post on the media publishing names and addresses of gun owners in New York:
In the latest round the media has decided to publish the names and addresses of gun owners in New York. Okay, that shows that they intend to demonize gun ownership outright, a stupid move, if you ask me, because what they have just done is announce to every crook and murderer in the state where the unarmed people live.

Be that as it may, this is their tactic, this is what they have done every single time to make us swallow one more regulation, one more liberty-stealing scheme.

I don't know how you gun owners in New York intend to handle this vicious attack on your home and family, but you should take it seriously. You should be completely outraged. They are not just intending to regulate something away, they have made you the enemy. How effective that is is up for question, but that they feel comfortable enough to do it, to come after people who have committed no crime, have not sought the spot light and tried to make their personal business public, is beyond the pale. It is Marxist propaganda techniques.
TL calls New York gun owners to action with a link to the names, phone numbers, and addresses of those in the media responsible for outing the gun owners.

As long as they feel safe and immune for this kind of irresponsible and dangerous 'journalism', they will continue. Put the heat on their feet and make them think twice about ever trying to do something so dangerously stupid again.

First State Law Change After Sandy Hook - They Want Your Ammo Too

In typical liberal style knee-jerk reaction to the Sandy Hook murders, Connecticut  lawmakers announced proposed changes to the state's gun laws.
The proposal would immediately expand the definition of Assault Weapon under current state law to apply to firearms which show one particular physical trait, as opposed to two, like the presence of a pistol grip beneath the action of the weapon.

And despite the fact that there are perhaps thousands of legal handguns in the state with a greater than 10 cartridge magazine capacity, this proposal would prohibit the sale and possession of any magazine with a capacity of over 10.

The proposal would also call for a 50 percent sales tax on all ammunition, permits would be required to purchase ammunition, and the online purchase of ammunition would be prohibited.
(source)

What do you want to bet that the FedGov will see that 50% ammo tax as a good idea and add that into the AWB?

Got ammo?

Brownells Sells 3.5 Years’ Worth of Magazines in 72 Hours

Soon to banned?
Wow!

I knew things were bad, but this puts it into perspective.

Mind you, this is just the experience of one retailer.
In the face of possible legislation to restrict and possibly ban firearms and magazines over a certain capacity, waves of panic buyers have stripped shelves to the paint, at both retail and online gun stores.

A combination of demand and gouging has caused prices for rifle magazines and rifles, parts and accessories to more than double, with some vendors selling goods at five times what the average rate was just a few weeks ago.

Many online companies are selling magazines faster than their systems can handle, accepting orders for stock they don’t have and running out of stock mid-transaction.

Brownells spokesman Jason Corpus had this to say.

“I wanted to take a minute to shed some insight on the magazine situation if i can. First of all I wanted to offer an apology for the situation… with magazines being ‘In-Stock’ and back-ordered moments later… [The] demand for magazines actually exceeded the ability for the system to keep up with the volume that was being ordered. They way that our website works is that inventory is fed from our ERP system directly into the website in ‘real-time.’

Unfortunately, ‘real-time’ is the amount of time that it takes for the transactions to work both ways. During normal circumstances, it is nearly instant. However, we’ve been receiving orders at such a pace that these transactions have gotten slower. We absolutely apologize again, we definitely don’t want that ever to be your experience.

“To shed some more light on the magazine situation at present, it really has been unprecedented in the last 5 days. During a roughly the 72 hour period from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening we sold the ‘average demand’ equivalent of about 3.5 years worth of PMAGS, and and an even greater amount of our Brownells magazines. We’re working like crazy to get these orders to you as quickly as possible.” [Emphasis ours.]

He continued, saying that they’re working with Magpul and their own in-house magazine manufacturers to compensate for the sudden spike in sales. Magpul will be focusing on black magazines for the most part, which makes sense. They’re the most popular and they will spend less time re-tooling for other colors, focusing on production over variety.

Feinstein's Press Release on AWB

She released this on Monday. Verbatim below.

Nothing ground-breaking but thought you might like to hear from the horses ass, er I mean mouth...mmm no, I mean ass, for yourself.

Highlights added for emphasis.

Feinstein to Introduce Updated Assault Weapons Bill in New Congress

Stops sale of more than 100 assault weapons; protects gun owners by exempting more than 900 specific hunting and sporting weapons

Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), author of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban that expired in 2004, announced on Sunday that she will introduce updated legislation early next year.

“On the first day of the new Congress, I intend to introduce a bill stopping the sale, transfer, importation and manufacturing of assault weapons as well as large ammunition magazines, strips and drums that hold more than 10 rounds, Feinstein said. “I am in the process of gathering support for the bill in the Senate and House.”

“I have been working with my staff for over a year on this legislation,” Feinstein added. “It will be carefully focused on the most dangerous guns that have killed so many people over the years while protecting the rights of gun owners by exempting hundreds of weapons that fall outside the bill’s scope. We must take these dangerous weapons of war off our streets.”

A Justice Department study found the Assault Weapons Ban was responsible for a 6.7 percent decline in total gun murders. However, since the 2004 expiration of the bill, assault weapons have been used in at least 459 incidents, resulting in 385 deaths and 455 injuries.

A summary of key provisions in the updated bill:
  • Stops the sale, transfer, importation and manufacturing of more than 100 specifically-named firearms as well as certain semiautomatic rifles, handguns and shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds.
  • Stops the sale, transfer, importation and manufacturing of large-capacity ammunition feeding devices (magazines, strips and drums) capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.
  • Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by:
    • grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment;
    • exempting more than 900 specifically-named weapons used for hunting and sporting purposes; and
    • exempting antique, manually-operated, and permanently disabled weapons.
###
New AWB sounds a lot like the old AWB.

Evil Black Rifle parts and magazines have been flying off the shelves. Many vendors are out of stock with no ETA on when they'll be available again.

Panic buying and price gouging has set in.

Some dealers are holding their prices steady.

Brownell's is allowing back order purchasing on Magpul - AR-15/M16 PMAG Polymer Magazine 10-Pak's. Great price too. Use code DSR at checkout to receive free shipping.

The first session of the new Congress is January 6th.

Good luck.

And So It Begins: Price Gouging

I'm all for making a buck or two or three, but this is disgusting.

And to add salt to the wound, you still have to pay for shipping.

CTD won't be getting any of my business.

If you don't have your high-capacity magazines now, well, good luck to you.

The gun/magazine ban hasn't even taken place yet and look where it's headed.

Expect ammo prices to get ridiculous too.

UPDATE: About 10 minutes later, they lowered their price.

SHTF School: How To Help Kids Through Hard Times

When the SHTF, we can't ignore our kids. They'll see things and hear things no child should ever experience. Unless we take the time to care for their mental state when their safe little world gets turned upside-down, they'll end up with problems later in life.

Selco has seen it. Learn from his experience.
Most important thing was to keep kids physically safe. Everything else was kept for some other time, for time when peace comes, for time when "normal time“ comes. Even though often we did not expect to live to that day.

Later when normal time came, some of the folks realized that their kids are not actually "normal“ kids anymore.

Shooting Rampage at Elementary School

Another (planned?) mass shooting, but this time in a Connecticut Elementary school.

20+ dead, mostly students.

Details sketchy but I'm reading some initial reports of at least 2 gunmen with one being killed and another escaping.

Same initial report as the Aurora theater shooting incident.

Same initial report as the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting incident.

So far the Clackamas Town Center shooting only reported a single shooter.

Here's a snippet from an initial report.
Multiple people, including children, have been killed in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The number of dead is unclear, but there are at least 20 shooting victims. Many of the shootings took place in a kindergarten classroom, sources said.

One entire classrom is unaccounted for outside the school, sources said.

A person believed to be a shooter is dead. Earlier reports of a second shooter are unconfirmed.

ABC News reported through federal, local officials that more than a dozen people, including children, were shot and killed.

Three people were brought to Danbury Hospital, but their condition is unknown. The emergency room is on lockdown.

Police were still searching the school at 11 a.m., and police dogs had been brought in. Around noon, the triage area was broken down, stretchers were taken away and the SWAT team left the building.
(more here)
Prayers for the family of those killed or injured. Having relatives who were physically in Columbine during the shooting, I have a sense of how they must feel.

You can bet that there will be calls for 'assault weapons' bans within hours, if not sooner.

Colorado Governor Calls For Gun Control

Well, it was only a matter of time.

Colorado turned blue back in 2008 and stayed blue in 2012.

The Democratic Mayor of Denver was elected Governor of Colorado in 2010 and now 5 months after the Aurora theater shooting by psycho John Holmes, he's finally talking about gun control.

But 5 months earlier, Hickenlooper said gun control won't stop evil.

Well now he's changed his mind.

It took longer than I thought, but not unexpected.

Five months after a movie theater massacre in suburban Denver shocked the nation, Colorado's Gov. John Hickenlooper now says "the time is right" for state lawmakers to consider gun control measures.

The Democratic governor has until now resisted calls to review state gun laws after the shootings in Aurora. Hickenlooper upset some in his party when he said last summer that stricter laws would not have prevented the massacre.

In an interview with The Associated Press Wednesday, Hickenlooper said enough time has passed since the tragedy and that the legislative session in January would be an appropriate time to take up a debate gun control measures.
(source)

Now he's pushing for it like any enemy of freedom would be expected to do.

Back to Aurora, thanks to obedient sheep, nobody was carrying a firearm in the theater that night. The city regulation on firearms is as follows:
Aurora
1. "Dangerous weapon" includes firearm
2. Revocation of license for furnishing a firearm to a minor or someone under the influence.
3. Window displays cannot include firearms with barrels less than 12 inches long.
4. Unlawful to carry concealed "dangerous weapon"
5. Unlawful to discharge firearms, unless by law enforcement on duty or on shooting range.
6. Unlawful to possess firearm while under the influence of intoxicant
7. Unlawful to have loaded firearm in motor vehicle.
8. Unlawful for a juvenile to possess a firearm.
Well those laws worked out really well, don't you think?

We'll never know if someone with their dangerous weapon would have been able to stop John Holmes before he caused further deaths and injury because these asinine laws give the advantage to the criminal.

But what do you expect from a city who stops every car in an intersection and at gunpoint forces every occupant out of their car looking for a bank robber? Constitution and 4th Amendment be damned.

Gun control has been largely a non-issue here in Colorado until recently. Now that the State is solidly blue, it looks like they can now proceed with their plan in the face of little opposition...so they think.

TSA's Grip on Internal Travel is Tightening

The TSA has applied for funding to make the U.S. of A. into one massive airport screening zone which:
...constitutes a preliminary step toward systematically expanding TSA's authority from airports to highways and almost every other means of public travel. The expansion would erase one of the last remaining differences between the US and a total police state; namely, the ability to travel internally without being under police surveillance. The total police state you experience at airports wants to spill into roads and bus stops, to subways and trains. Or, rather, the TSA wants to solidify and spread the fledgling and erratic presence it already has.

Øbama Formally Recognizes Syrian Barbarians

In a diplomatic shift, President Obama said today his administration now formally recognizes the newly-formed, leading coalition of Syrian rebels who are fighting to topple Syria's embattled President Bashar Assad.

"We've made a decision that the Syrian Opposition Coalition is now inclusive enough, is reflective and representative enough of the Syrian population that we consider them the legitimate representative of the Syrian people in opposition to the Assad regime," Obama said.

The announcement, made during an exclusive interview with ABC News' Barbara Walters, grants new legitimacy to the rebel group and marks a new phase in U.S. efforts to isolate the Assad regime.

(full story here)
Oh...how sweet.

Øbama is now supporting the American hating rebels like he did in Egypt and Libya.

Ask Ambassador Stevens how that worked out for him.

Well, take a good look at who Øbama is supporting. (WARNING: GRAPHIC)

Any questions on what kind of creature (can't even call him a man) Øbama is to support such animals?

Which brings me to a more important point.

When the elimination of the enemies of the Republic begins, I would hope that Patriots would not partake in this kind of 'justice' where we would devolve into the kind of barbarianism that this current administration supports.

Yes, many deserve to be killed as Domestic Enemies of the Constitution. They are, after all, willing to kill you with laws that have the power of the gun behind them if you do not comply.
If we are ever to have public support for a resistance, we cannot allow these kinds of events to occur, even if they deserve it. Otherwise we'll be no better than the barbarians and OpFor will have plenty more fodder to use against FreeFor in the propaganda war.

Fight smart.

Beware of Counterfeit Combat Application Tourniquets (CAT)

Well it looks like Hong Kong is manufacturing counterfeit CAT's being sold as E-CAT's.

When looked at side-by-side, they are almost indistinguishable from the real thing. So much so, that a guide on how to tell the difference, complete with pictures, has been created by the makers of the CAT.
1.The Element Cat (E-CAT) is a very carefully made counterfeit CAT tourniquet.
2.It is manufactured in Hong Kong for $8.50 (USD) per item.
3.There are no limits to the number that can be purchased.
4.They are available on the internet, and anyone can purchase them.
5.They were designed to look, feel and act like a CAT (GEN III).
6.They ARE a counterfeit tourniquet.
If you've recently purchased one, I suggest you read the guide and make sure you have the real thing. The fake one will not tighten the tourniquet.

It's a PDF file so you'll have to download it here.

Surpise! State Sanctioned Murderers of Jose Guerena Contradict Each Other

Pima County sheriff's detectives and SWAT members contradict each other when answering attorneys' questions about a search warrant raid, which ended up in the death of Jose Guerena, an Iraq war vet who served two tours.
Scileppi argued that after the shooting, investigators tried to paint Guerena as the "muscle" or "enforcer" of the family drug gang. Scileppi said authorities had no evidence to back up those accusations.
News report with the video of the execution raid here.

Watch the video and listen carefully.

They'll get away with it.

They always do.

DHS Counterterror Centers Produce ‘a Bunch of Crap,’ Senate Finds

This story from Wired is a couple months old but it is still relevant.

Here's a snippet:
Unnamed DHS officials told the panel the fusion centers produce “predominantly useless information” and “a bunch of crap.” An internal 2010 assessment, which DHS did not share with Congress, found that a third of all fusion centers don’t have defined procedures for sharing intelligence — “one of the prime reasons for their existence.” At least four fusion centers identified by DHS “do not exist,” the Senate found.
Did you catch that? "...fusion centers produce “predominantly useless information” and “a bunch of crap.”

Why is that? With all the billions of dollars spent on these fusion centers and privacy violating...er I mean, information gathering technologies, you'd think they'd be catching terrorists left and right.
Some fusion centers simply don’t care about terrorism. A Senate survey of 62 fusion centers in 2010 found that more than one-third of them, 25, didn’t even “mention terrorism in their mission statements.” Instead, they take federal anti-terrorism money and use it to supplement local law-enforcement priorities like fighting drugs, under the pretext that terrorists “would commit precursor crimes before an attack.”
As I've long suspected, the DHS, like most bureaucratic .gov agencies, are largely inept, money sucking, greedy, behemoths that can't be counted on to do their jobs properly.

Does this mean that the DHS is not dangerous to those of us who love Liberty? Not at all. More than likely the opposite.

As they are given more power, they become more unwilling to give it up. And that makes them dangerous.
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."  ~ Lord Acton
But their ability to be effective is hampered by their own stupidity, which can be advantageous to FreeFor if/when the time comes.

Think electronic information overload, misdirection, etc. via social media sites like Twitter and Facebook and blogs.

A well organized misdirection campaign can confuse them, distract them, and depending on the intent, be used to identify them.

Apparently, Fusion Centers aren't all that they're made out to be. This doesn't mean you should let your guard down. They're not the only 'information gathering' team out there. Others are very very good at it.

Stay diligent.

Stay safe.

Boeing Successfully Tests Directional EMP Missile

Boeing in partnership with the US Air Force Research Laboratories Directed Energy Directorate created the CHAMP weapons system, and successfully tested the system over the Utah desert on a military compound.  The exact details on how the device was made will remain a secret, but we do know that it is transmitted from a missile-like device that flies over the intended target and directs its concentrated microwave energy.

Interesting.

I wonder if the Øbammunist will gift Iran with one much in the same way he did with that stealth drone?
