Commierado Dem Insults Rape Survivor During Hearings

During the Commierado Senate Committee hearings on the bill that would prohibit conceal carry on college campus, rape survivor Amanda Collins testified about her horrific attack on a college campus. She went on to say that if she had a gun, she would have been able to repel the attack.

Demoncrat Evie (Evil) Hudak tried to dismiss Collins testimony by saying, “actually, statistics are not on your side, even if you had a gun.”

Then she pulled out of her collective fat-ass some BS statistic that for every one woman who used a handgun to kill someone in self-defense, 83 were murdered by them.

They don't want you to be able to defend yourself.

They want you disarmed.

They want victims.

Contact this troll if her comments piss you off:

I guess Evil Hudak is okay with rapists as long as the victim doesn't have a gun to stop them from committing further rapes.

  1. She must have read this drivel (http://finance.yahoo.com/news/finally-gun-used-stop-crime-175812631.html) before the hearing.

    Morons.

  2. For those NOT historically or geographically challenged it goes without saying that Colorado is strategically essential.

For Coloradans (or anyone thinking it will be better to flee your current geo-political situation) remember that resistance active or passive is a state of being. Say that a couple of times. Resistance is a state of being. Then ask yourself if you want to trade the devil you know for the one you dont.

  3. As a resident of the once and former free state of Colorado I have seen leftists from California and eastern states come to this paradise and turn it into the trash heep they left. I have come to the conlusion that the leftists are going to do what they plan regardless of the voice of the people. Therefor I am going to do what I plan regardless of the consequenses of the bills that the leftist are passing. I am going to ignore any and all new gun control laws and by that render the leftist powerless. Michael Collins, Ghandi, and MLK would call this civil disobedience and approve. REGISTER NOTHING - IGNORE THE CURRENT GUN LAWS

  5. "The Colorado Coalition Against Gun Violence says that for every one woman who used a handgun in self-defense, 83 were killed by them," said Hudak.

This quote is comprised of two unrelated statements the Colorado Coalition Against Gun Violence uses to twist the truth. The actual facts are:

For every woman that uses a handgun in self-defense, + ANOTHER, 83 women are killed by handguns (and this second part is a very dubious claim in itself).

They were two statements which have no bearing on each other, but placed together create a falsehood that Senator Hudak and the Colorado Coalition Against Gun Violence should retract. Women that defend themselves with handguns do so successfully every day. To insult women by implying they are too incompetent to defend themselves with a handgun is very telling of the lies and distortions that state house Democrats are willing to perpetrate in order to get their agenda forced upon the citizens of our state.

Progressive Gun Control When Concerning Rape: the theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

  6. This illustrates why it's really a bad idea to use arguments of utility in order to justify rights access. These days should end soon.

Now, we're moving onto this: We will have our rights. It makes no difference whatsoever you do here today, we are armed and will defend our rights against any and all who attempt to thwart our access.

Without fail and with utter ruthlessness.

  7. Just sent the following to Senator Hudak:

    Dear Senator Hudak,
During the hearing on SB1226 and in response to Amanda Collins testimony you stated, "the Colorado Coalition Against Gun Violence says that for every one woman who used a handgun to kill someone in self defense, 83 were murdered by them". I'd like to know why you omitted the fact that the report you quoted deals exclusively with an "intimate acquaintance", not a violent stranger?

The original report states, "In 1998, for every time a woman used a handgun to kill an intimate acquaintance in self-defense, 83 woman were murdered by an intimate acquaintance with a handgun.". This report does not involve the subject of concealed carry, but rather domestic violence. Also it does originate with the now defunct Colorado Coalition Against Gun Violence, but rather the Violence Policy Center in Washington, D.C. in a 2001 document titled "A Deadly Myth: Women, Handguns, and Self-Defense".

Amanda Collins was not attacked by an Intimate Acquaintance, but rather a violent stranger. This changes the whole dynamic of the confrontation! If she was armed she would have likely had an element of surprise against her attacker, theoretically something two intimate acquaintances would likely not have.

Did you intentionally or negligently omit the facts about this report to the victim of a violent rape? If your actions where intentional you should be ashamed of yourself, the sympathy you expressed towards Amanda Collins was empty and worthless! If your actions where negligent, the least you could do is apologize to Amanda Collins, and the Citizens of Colorado for misrepresenting the facts!

  8. Dear Senator Hudak,

For you to unknowingly or intentionally miss-use data from a 1998 study to belittle Ms. Collins after her heart wrenching testimony is shameful at best. I would hope that you can remove your "agenda tinted goggles" long enough to at least contact Ms. Collins and apologize.

Please do not claim to be protecting Me or my Family while you are trampling the dignity of a young Colorado Woman.

    Sincerely,
    Phill Knapp
    Conifer Co.

  9. As Lacy's cousin, I can safely say that even if this gun law (for college campuses...and you even recognized that she was murdered feet from her home) was around when she had been murdered, it would not have affected the outcome. Just because there is a law allowing women who are potential victims of assault to carry guns to maybe protect themselves does not guarantee their safety. My cousin would have never carried a gun, whether or not someone had told her it was legal to do so or not. So thanks for using Lacy's murder and tragic death completely out of context for your right wing pro-gun bullshit. I absolutely despise that this bullshit came up when I googled Lacy's name. Pick someone else's story for your shitty and out of context opinions. Fuck you.
