Bracken's Reply to Gun Grabbing Gabriel Gomez - Former SEAL

Gabriel Gomez is a former candidate for U.S. Senator of Massachusetts. He is a former Navy SEAL (credentials here) but despite his Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, he has some qualms about protecting the 2nd Amendment in it's entirety, as can be read in his article he wrote for the Boston Globe.
"Based on everything I have learned, seen and heard from the citizens of this Commonwealth, I can no longer support legislation that would allow the continued sale of assault weapons and high capacity magazines..." - Gabriel Gomez

"
To the professional political critics, I simply offer this: volunteer for the Navy or for the other armed services, successfully go through SEAL or other special forces training. Then you will be fully qualified and prepared to fire as many assault weapons with unlimited high capacity magazines as you desire. " - Gabriel Gomez
Below is Matt Bracken's reply to Gabriel Gomez on his Facebook page, verbatim with Matt's permission.
I just posted this on Gabby Gomez' FB page.

I graduated from BUD/S Class 105 in 1979 as an officer, and took a NavSpecWar platoon to Beirut in 1983. I mention it only as my bona fides to address you. I am extremely disappointed that a former SEAL officer has apparently sold out for perceived political gain. (And please, don't tell any former SEALs that your wife changed your mind about firearms and the Constitution!)

As two men with similar training and experience with firearms, we both know very well that in the ultimate test, the difference between slaves or subjects and free men is the right to keep and bear arms that are similar to those carried by the King's men, the police, the military. Don't tell me that the 2nd Amd was written to protect duck hunters or target shooters! In fact, the American Revolution began at Concord and Lexington when the King's soldiers marched to confiscate the arms and gunpowder of American civilians.

Mr. Gomez, spare us your "I defended the Constitution" blather. We see through your politically expedient conversion to the dark side. You are now standing firmly on the side of King George and every other dictator who has smashed freedom, or tried to smash freedom, by disarming their "unruly peasants" in the name of "public safety." (BTW, did you know that the bloody mass-murderers of the French Revolution, who also disarmed their peasants--before executing them--were actually called "The Committee of Public Safety?")

I'm very ashamed of and disappointed in you, former SEAL or not, and I will do what I can to expose your selling out to the forces of rampant big-government statism. We don't want to live in a nation where the government holds a monopoly on meaningful firearms. We already know about many other countries that disarmed their populations before oppressing them. Just in the last century, Turkey, the USSR, Germany, China and a score of other nations disarmed their populations in the name of "public safety," and we know what happened next.

We all saw the movie about a nation that was made nearly gun-free, except for the police and the military. It was called Schindler's List, and you will not get us on those trains, at any time in the future, unless and until you disarm us--the hard way. We will not be led like sheep into the slaughter pens because in a moment of foolish optimism we believed the sweet lies of socialist politicians. You want to take them? Molon Labe, sellout. Come and take them!
Well said Matt.

  2. You can always count on Matt Bracken to tell it like it is. Gomez is a sell-out.

  3. A seal is one of the last people I would have thought would sell out his Oath. In my view, this is one of the worst kinds of domestic enemies.

    1. The military is not an entity to be trusted during a constitutional crisis. These days the majority of officers are nothing more than political creatures who absolve themselves of their responsibilities and blame someone else. This mentality ultimately leads to "Just following orders" (including illegal ones).

    2. The officers, I agree, the average butterbar to colonel wouldn't hesitate, but with all the training this pos went through and with the history of the teams, it's a little surprising.
The enlisted, I'm not convinced all of them would follow lockstep.
Time to adjust my focus again.

  4. Matt, you know as well as I do that talking to these traitors will get us no where. There comes a point when executive action is needed. HOO YAA

  5. And, I am ashamed to say, Gomez is a 1987 grad of the Naval Academy (one year ahead of me).

Ashamed, but not surprised. Throughout those four years, there was NOT ONE official discussion of what that oath actually means with respect to ANY of your rights. Not one. And each year, the USNA, and West Point, and the Air Force Academy, turns out 1000 automatons apiece who only know how to follow orders while wrapping themselves in the flag. I know, because I was one.

We're going to shape the future, my friends, but we'll do it by understanding reality, not by relying on fantasies.

Thanks for the truth, Matt, as always.

    1. The "Academies" is where the NWO Elites get their future 4Stars. They must be groomed well, comrade. Our leaders will more than likely come from the enlisted ranks and officers from ROTC colleges. Some even civilian, like Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Since I'm too old to join the military, to learn proper use of a high capacity weapon,(LOL) I'm left to assume we are just road kill to Herr Gomez. However, clarifying the lines is strangely soothing to the soul.

  7. So I guess that since I was only a simple Forward Observer/Joint Fires Observer with over a decade in and 3.5 years of that in combat I dont qualify to own any "high capacity" magazines. Where do I turn them in?

  8. I expect Gabriel Gomez deeply admires John Kerry ... birds of a feather. So refreshing to see an obersturmfuhrer statist get a little tough love.

  9. So, now Mr. Gomez thinks my civil rights only apply if I've had "special training"? I'd bet he's a fan of John McCain too.

I guess it should be no surprise he's an aspiring goddamn politician.

    Get ready, folks.

  10. Matt, well said. We need to do everything we can to support our pro gun legislators and defeat the Anti-gun candidates, where ever the are. By this I mean not only in our own state but see what you can do to help in other states like; MA, CO, CA, and others where they have anti-gun state governments and are infecting the federal government by sending their ant-gun senators and congress men to Washington. Dig deep into your pockets, e-mail, phone to let them know where you stand. Every vote in Congress affects all of us, Nation Wide. I was just a grunt back in the 1960s and even though I've been told I'm getting on in years I am still able to ride, shoot straight and tell the truth and the only thing I say to Washington at this time is; Molon Labe

  14. I Like Mr. Bracken's rebuttal. Somebody needed to call gomez exactly what he is , a stinking liberal, hiding behind his military service to get ahead politically. Go pander your crap elsewhere
gomez, we're not buying it, and if you choose to belong to "King Georges" army, be prepared to suffer the consequences.
