North Carolina Is First State To Cut Welfare Amid Federal Shutdown - It's Starting

From the looks of it, the story about the EBT / SNAP benefits being suspended in November until further notice is true.

From Reuters:
(Reuters) - North Carolina has become the first state to cut off welfare benefits to poor residents in the wake of the partial federal government shutdown, ordering a halt to processing November applications until a deal is reached to end the federal standstill.
Read the rest here.

The clock is ticking and it looks like a compromise to stop the US from defaulting is not going to happen.

Although I fully expect the Republicans to cave at the last moment.

If by some slim chance that they don't cave, and the US does go into default....well, you should have been ready by now.

It's coming.

Stay safe.

  4. I have alerted all of my extended family members and friends of this event. Not that any of them depend on Gov. handouts, but so that they can and will be prepared for the fallout.

I would suggest that everyone do the same.

Not that there's any difference between D, R, and the rest of the shitbags that hang around the capitol area.

There won't be any time outs for this football game, Gents, and some of the team members will be named Vidkun, as Kerodin recently pointed out.

    Stay Safe.
