How To Chop Wood Smarter, Not Harder

This could come in handy for some of you folks.

  1. Oooooh, that's an EXCELLENT idea! We burn wood for 99.9% of our heat. While we use a hydraulic splitter for most of the splitting chores, there are several occasions where I need or want to use the splitting maul. It is a royal PIA to split and have to pick up the pieces remaining to be split every time I have a successful split. This simple light chain and bungee set-up will save a lot of time and effort.
    Thank You!!

  2. Seems like a good idea. However, his chopping style looks like it causes a lot of wear and tear on the handle whenever he smashes it against the wood.
