Ammo is still scarce and almost non-existent at my local Wal-Marts. The interwebz is beginning to have more ammo in stock lately. But current prices with shipping tacked on can be cost prohibitive for some.
Guns.com has 10 tips to help you find ammo. It's coming back, you just need to know where to look.

Colorado state Senate Democrats claimed on Twitter that most of the state’s elected sheriffs are siding with criminals rather than law abiding citizens by joining in a lawsuit to overturn two contentious gun control bills.
The lawsuit, first announced on May 17, has now been joined by 55 of the state’s 64 sheriffs and has been supported by others in law enforcement.
It seeks to overturn a ban on high capacity magazines and a requirement that background checks be performed for all gun transfers.
“I believe that is such a hollow statement that it deserves no real response,” Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “It shows a complete lack of real discussion [in that] if they can’t make their case for why they did what they did, attack us personally. The citizens deserve a lot more robust debate than name calling.Read the rest here.
“But the reality is, that’s fairly consistent,” he continued. “Even when they pitched these bills, they couldn’t back them up with logic and reason, so it doesn’t surprise me.”
Way to go Commierado Democraps! Throw a tantrum and start slinging baseless accusations like the whiny little bitches you are! Continue to remove the mask you hide behind and show everyone your true intent. A classic case of psychological projection.
They've got their panties in a wad.

Finally someone in New York with some common sense and a backbone.
District Attorney Paul Czajka dropped a state SAFE Act charge Thursday in county district court against Hopewell Junction resident Gregory Dean Jr., who was the first person charged in the county under the controversal law since it was enacted last month.Read the entire story here.
Czajka told Town Justice Jessica Byrne that he would not prosecute the SAFE act violation.
“Although I believe that it is not for a district attorney to determine or make blanket policy,” Czajka told Byrne, he said he would “decline to prosecute the unlawful possession of ammunition feed devices.”

Another American institute is dead, thanks to Political Correctness and the homosexual agenda. As if there weren't already problems with isolated cases of sexual abuse in the BSA, now they've opted to let the camel's nose under the tent and openly nod and wink their approval.
Today's decision, it seems, will not stop that criticism, with some parents saying publicly they will pull their boys from the scouting program because of the decision. Most reaction, however, was favorable, following the decision this afternoon. One reaction from a North Dallas resident was that the next step would be to allow leaders to participate in the program, "regardless of sexual orientation."(source)
And that is the goal. To get sodomites in a position of authority over little kids. This is just another step, #26 of the communist goals to be more precise, in 'normalizing' un-natural behavior.
26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
Sadly, this is becoming the norm in this country with the help of the current administration.
I don't care what you do in your bedroom, but people don't need to be told that they MUST accept the 'alternative lifestyle' choice.
The BSA committed suicide today. I wonder if they'll regret their 30 pieces of silver.
I cannot support the decision made today on ethical and moral grounds for the sake of my children and my ultimate accountability to God. As for my boys and I, we're officially done with the BSA.
Hopefully this new organization is successful and spreads.

The law 'enforcers' don't even know the laws themselves, and now it could end up costing their city more than a pretty penny for their willful disregard and ignorance of the law.
An Ohio man has slapped local government with a $3.6 million lawsuit after policemen allegedly violated his Constitutional rights. Police detained Ray Call and confiscated his weapon because he openly carried his firearm into a store.
According to reports, Call entered a store late one night with his gun openly on display. The authorities were alerted, and fairly soon two policemen arrived on the scene. The police officers held Call in the back of the police car, took his weapon, and demanded that he identify himself.
Call refused to identify himself. According to Ohio Revised Code, an individual is not obligated to identify himself to a police officer unless the officer reasonably suspects that the individual is involved in a crime.
When police didn't get any answers out of Call, they threatened to charge him with reckless inconvenience and noise disturbances. Eventually, the strong-arm tactics intimidated Call into revealing his name, at which point police discovered that he had a CCW permit. Police returned his weapon and sent him on his way.
Some may say Roy Call was in the wrong for refusing to cooperate. Others will say the cops were wrong for detaining him with no evidence of any wrong doing.
Whatever your opinion is, just remember, a RIGHT not exercised is a right LOST.

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly (R-Twin Peaks, California) pens a column for We Are 1776, a pro-freedom public policy journal.
His focus is on on agencies such as the California Air Resources Board (CARB), Agenda 21, Child Protective Services, the IRS, the DOJ, and the DHS. He ends his column with the following statement:
Yes, there is a 2nd American Revolution. It has already begun. The question is whether the tyrants who control out government will surrender peacefully or if we the people will have to use force to restore freedom to our land. You can read it all here.
Are you part of the American resistance or are you part of the problem?
But for all his effort on his column, he fails to mention Commifornia's latest round of Intolerable Acts.
- A 10 percent tax on all ammunition sold in California
- A proposed additional 5¢ tax per round
- Microstamping for all new guns in California goes into effect
- Gov. signs bill to confiscate guns from 'mentally ill' gun owners
All revolutions are local.

The wire tapping scandal goes further than just the AP.
Looks like the House of Representatives cloak room was tapped as well.
Go here to listen to the radio interview where California congressman Devin Nunes makes the claim on air.
Stalinesque, isn't it?

The Captain's Journal addresses some issues with the militarization of our police force and why this movement is dangerous.
You will never be trained like a U.S. Marine who has spent every day for a year and a half in pre-deployment workup to do a combat tour of Iraq. Because you will never be trained in this manner, your tactics are dangerous, all of the time, and in all situations. I don’t care how many times you have inexperienced Soldiers spend a week with you doing CQB drills. With the standdown in Iraq and Afghanistan, they oftentimes know as little as you. These tactics place people in danger when there are better alternatives.Go here to read the rest.
Now for the next step. Nor should you be trained like my son. It isn’t within your province to do this. The militarization of the police and police tactics in America is an effort to sidestep Posse Comitatus. It’s a way to have a standing army police Americans rather than have the existing standing army do the policing of Americans. It’s a typical progressive, statist trick.
The sheeple are cheering for them as they shout, "save us!"
Even when they 'accidentally' shoot an innocent 'suspect' or shoot our dogs when they raid the wrong house.
We're all in occupied territory.

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation's population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm--assaults, robberies and sex crimes--was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.
But facts don't matter to the gun grabbers.

|Rendering of future DHS Coast Guard headquarters, with green roof designed to capture and reuse water.|
Washington notables broke ground on the future home of the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday, symbolically starting construction on the biggest federal building project in the Washington area since the Pentagon 68 years ago.I thought Øbama said we were out of money, hence the sequester?
The project will bring together more than 15,000 employees now scattered in 35 offices in the region, placing them on a 176-acre campus strewn with historic buildings in a long-neglected corner of Washington, five miles from the Capitol building.
Department leaders hope the $3.4 billion consolidation will help the department fulfill its core mission -- protecting the homeland -- in ways big and small.
"It will help us hold meetings," Secretary Janet Napolitano said. "It will help us build that culture of 'One DHS.'"
Read the about this giant sinkhole here.
At least now they'll all be in one place.

The Smallest Minority reminds us:
Today is the fifth annual Victims of Communism Day, a day to remember the people murdered by their own governments in their quest to achieve a "worker's paradise" where everyone is equal, where "to each according to his needs, from each according to his abilities" is the beautiful
dreamlie. R.J. Rummel, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Hawaii, has calculated that the total number of victims of Communism - that is, the domestic victims of their own governments - in the USSR, China, Vietnam, North Korea and Cambodia is 98.4 million people. For all Communist governments during the 20th Century, he puts the estimate at approximately 110 million. And this wasn't in warfare against other nations, this was what these governments did to their own people - "breaking eggs" to make their utopian omlette.
Don't think it can't happen here.
